Pymatuning State Park offers a wide variety of winter activities that include ice fishing, ice skating, sledding, ice boating, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling to mention a few. In addition, Pymatuning hosts the Annual Winter Fun Days. A winter concession has refreshments available, as well as ice skates, and cross-country ski equipment for rent.

Because of its location in the "snow belt", Pymatuning is popular for such winter sports as ice skating, ice boating and fishing and cross-country skiing. Snowmobiling is accommodated on the Pennsylvania side of the lake.
